The Marketing Lab

INM is proud to announce The Marketing Lab, a marketing tools testing group, whose aim is to test tools and share insights to inform businesses on what’s hot, and what’s not!

Social Media, The Marketing Lab

INM invited a number of industry leaders from consulting, agency and media backgrounds to test and trial different marketing tools that businesses might find useful to aid productivity, and to boost performance.

The Marketing Lab team is a group of independent testers from agency, consultant and business backgrounds who all share a common vision of using tools to enhance marketing, and sharing that knowledge with anyone else who’s interested.  Ultimately, The Marketing Lab aims to provide useful suggestions, tips on choosing, and guides for a huge variety of social media and digital marketing activities, whether that is live streaming, social media or ad management or even creating podcasts.

The Marketing Lab will test a set of tools each month, and will publish a blog sharing the results on You can follow all the posts using #INMLab on Twitter.

How does The Marketing Lab work?

The group has chosen certain topics that they intend to cover throughout 2016, and a number of tools will be tested in each month. Two people at least test each tool to ensure objectivity. The tasks for testing are unified, so each tool gets solid exploration for comparison. Results are shared at a monthly meeting, which are then published and shared to a wide network. The current team includes Maryrose Lyons, Greg Fry, Felicity McCarthy, Sasha Kinch, Tristram Dyer and Laurynas Binderis.
